EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma: The results showed the part of specimens from locally advanced and advanced NSCLC presented the coexistence of EGFR mutant and wild-type cells regardless of the DHPLC or ARMS being used, suggesting that the intratumoral EGFR mutated heterogeneity indeed existed and didn't derive from the bias of detection methods or low intratumoral mutated frequencies.
