We found that five out of six adenoma-hypermethylated DMRs (associated with the Ush1g, Gata4, Irx2, Onecut3 and Plcd3 genes, but not the one associated with Vdr) displayed an increased H3K27me3 mark in normal intestine and, to a large extent, also in adenoma, and hence were associated with PRC2 activity in the intestine (Figure 2b, and Figure S4). The gene discussed is USH1G; the disease is adenoma.
