Among the group of the most consistently hypermethylated genes in both human colon cancer and mouse intestinal adenoma (48 genes), we found Cdh4, Crabp1, Crmp1, Dbc1, Duox1, Grm7, Hand1, Hs3st2, Pcdh17 and Pdpn, which have previously been suggested as cancer biomarkers [15], [47]–[54]. This evidence concerns the gene CDH4 and malignant colon neoplasm.
