CD8A and infection: On average, in HIV-1-infected lymphoid tissues treated with IL-7 25 ng/mL the fraction of uninfected CD4+ T cells expressing APO2.7 decreased from 10.8±0.9% to 6.6±0.6% and from 11.0±1.2% to 8.3±0.8% of CD8− p24gag− T cells on day 6 and 9 post infection, respectively, for HIV-1LAI.04 (n = 8, p<0.01), and from 8.0±0.8% to 5.5±0.7% and from 4.6±0.8% to 3.6±0.8% of CD8− p24gag− T cells on day 6 and 9 post infection, respectively, for HIV-1BaL (n = 6, p<0.05).
