In this study, we demonstrated that MIR129-2 was hypermethylated in NHL and MM cell lines but not in normal blood or mononuclear cells, illustrating a methylation pattern similar to other epigenetically silenced tumor suppressor microRNAs, such as MIR34A, MIR34B/C, MIR124, and MIR203, in hematological cancers [13-17]. This evidence concerns the gene MIR203A and hematopoietic and lymphoid cell neoplasm.
