PDCD4 and neoplasm: Other miRNAs, with oncogene activity, are up-regulated in our profiles: miR-21 (logFC 2.29) plays a crucial role in tumor cell proliferation, apoptosis, invasion, consistent with ability to repress tumor suppressors PTEN, PDCD4, TPM-1 [13] and SPRY2 [14]; miR-155 (logFC 2.68), −9 (logFC 3.13) and −107 (logFC 2.32) implicated in tumor aggressiveness and resistance to chemotherapy in vitro and in vivo[15].
