Examples of up-regulated miRNAs through the three tissue classes are: miR-128 (logFC 1.51, 1.15, 2.66) targeting WEE1[19], an important cell-cycle checkpoint regulator in breast cancer which in our profile shows an anti-correlated trend (logFC −1.6, −0.9, 0.7), similarly for miR-26b (logFC 2.27, 1.4, 3.66) and its validated target TGFBR2 (logFC −2.3, −1.7, 0.6). The gene discussed is WEE1; the disease is breast cancer.
