Whereas the genes expressed in the GBM transplants included CD74, CXCR4, PLAGL2, GFAP, VIM, EGFR, and TP53, where 5 (CD74, CXCR4, PLAGL2, GFAP, and EGFR), or more, are associated with GBM, the 2 lymphomas hybridized with hamster cells, GW-532 and GW-584, retained, respectively, three (CD20, CD79b, CD19) and two (CD20, CD79b) genes that are restricted to B-cell lineage, or genes associated with high proliferation (CD71 and CD74). This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and glioblastoma.
