HLA-C and myeloid leukemia: Notably, HLA-C allele matching (four-digit level) had differential effects in HLA-C1 (C1/C1) and HLA-C2 (C1/C2 and C2/C2) subgroups of patients: in HLA-C1 patients with myeloid leukemia, HLA-C-matching was associated with improved survival as described previously (Morishima et al., 2002; Flomenberg et al., 2004; Petersdorf et al., 2004; Woolfrey et al., 2011).
