Some putative ovarian cancer biomarkers described in this paper, such as the keratin 2a, the glycosyltransferase-like 1B, involved in glycosylation processes, and the casein kinase alpha 1, a serine/threonine kinase involved in cellular differentiation, proliferation and apoptosis, have been associated with processes related to cancer [125–128]. The gene discussed is MARK2; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
