We also examined the joint contribution of the polymorphisms studied in a multivariate regression model, including all of them together (Table 2), and found that both the rs1279683 (SLC23A2) and the rs737723 (SEC14L2/TAP) polymorphisms maintained the statistical significance after correction for multiple comparisons and even increased the magnitude of their association with POAG risk in the multivariate model in comparison with their association when using separate models.
