Since we have demonstrated that neurons control glial differentiation [23], modulate the laminin architecture on the surface of human GBM [36], since CTGF is an important modulator of extracellular matrix proteins and stimulates tumor cell migration, the present study was undertaken to investigate whether neurons can modulate human GBM CTGF expression during neuron-human GBM cell line interaction in co-cultures.
