Consequently, as shown in Figure 3B, CM of Bmi-1-shRNA-transfected cells showed decreased abilities to induce formation of tube-like structure by HUVEC cells in vitro when compared with the control CM, suggesting that inhibition of endogenous Bmi-1 in glioma cells markedly reduced glioma cell-induced in vivo angiogenesis.
