Several array comparative genomic hybridization (aCGH) studies of breast tumors and breast cancer cell lines point to commonly observed gains and losses on regions of chromosome 8, 13 and 17 – regions known to contain breast cancer associated genes such as BRCA2, ERBB2 and MYC[5], [6], [7], [8], [9]. The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is breast carcinoma.
