Within these patients, proportions of HLA-G+ CD4 and CD8 Treg in lymph nodes and peripheral blood were not significantly different, suggesting that compartmentalization of HLA-G+ Treg to lymph nodes does not represent the major reason explaining the decreased number of circulating HLA-G+ Treg in progressive HIV-1 infection (Figure 2A). The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is HIV-1 infection.
