Several studies suggest that CCND1 is an important regulator of cell cycle progression at G1/S transition and its overexpression is implicated as driving feature in various types of cancer such as mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) [44], non-small cell lung cancer [45], prostate cancer cells [46], gliomas [47], osteosarcoma [48], [49] and so on. Here, CCND1 is linked to prostate cancer.
