We can therefore conclude that, under physiologic conditions, the relevance of the vaspin–hK7 interaction may be limited, but the vaspin–hK7 ratio may change acutely after food ingestion before glucose-induced insulin levels peak or, on the other hand, under chronic conditions of hyperglycemia or other metabolic alterations under which the vaspin–hK7 interaction may become significantly relevant. This evidence concerns the gene SERPINA12 and Hyperglycemia.
