Of the 99 tumor samples screened, 13 patients (13.1%) harbored an activating EGFR mutation, 7 patients (7.1%) were ALK positive and 65 patients (65.7%) were EGFR WT and ALK negative, and in 14 patients (14.1%) there was not enough tissue to perform a valid FISH assay for ALK (table 2).
