Taking advantage of commercial andibodies produced against human HBA1 and HBB, immunofluorescence analysis was performed to examine the localization of the Hgb protein in SiHa cells, which showed a similar cytoplasmic staining pattern of the HBA1 and HBB forms as that of cervical cancer tissues (Fig. 3D–G). The gene discussed is HBA1; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
