Recent studies have shown that NF-κB directly exerts its role or alternatively involved in G protein-coupled receptor agonist- or tumour necrosis factor α(TNFα)-induced cardiac hypertrophy and pathological remodeling and fibrosis and NF-κB inhibition attenuates cardiac hypertrophy [13], [14], [15], [16], [17]. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and cardiac hypertrophy.
