In the sex-stratified analysis, BMI and obesity were also nominally associated with a variant at the TFAP2B locus (beta ± SE: 1.22 ± 0.39, p = 0.002; OR = 1.96, 95% CI: 1.08–3.55, p = 0.026) (Table S3a) in males. Here, TFAP2B is linked to obesity disorder.
