Compared with the overall study population followed for 2 years, GH-treated patients reporting sleep apnea more commonly had higher (≥0.8 mg/d) GH doses (26% vs 14% for all GH-treated patients) and elevated serum IGF-I concentrations (35% vs 14% for all GH-treated patients), but this association was not observed for the other 4 unexpected events.
