Mice that recovered from a sublethal PVM infection displayed an exaggerated Th2 response to a chronic intranasal ovalbumin sensitization followed by a moderate challenge, with elevated levels of serum IgE and augmented expression of IL-4, IL-5 and IL‐13; these responses were suppressed by a combination of neutralizing antibodies against both IL-4 and IL-25. Here, IL4 is linked to infection.
