Majority of studies have shown that Id1 protein expression is increased with increasing grade of prostate cancer [9, 14, 15–18] that is associated with decreased apoptosis, increased proliferation and metastasis, androgen independence, and altered signaling pathways, such as epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) (reviewed in [9, 14–18]). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and prostate cancer.
