Positive staining for Tim-3 protein was seen in only 15.0% (3 out of 20) of chronic cervicitis, but 50.0% (11 out of 22) of the CIN and 65.1% (28 out of 43) of cervical cancer stained positively for Tim-3 protein (Fig. 1A–D). The gene discussed is HAVCR2; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
