The TNFRSF1B gene, which encodes TNFR-2, was hypo-methylated by 3-fold in PCa samples, whilst the two genes, BCL-2 and BAK1, which are involved in TNF-dependent apoptosis pathways, were found to be hyper-methylated, resulting in their downregulation [14]. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and posterior cortical atrophy.
