In nontransplanted patients with acute renal failure, the NGAL/creatinine ratio was significantly higher 2.0490e + 006 ng/g (382498 to 1.0470e + 007) compared to healthy individuals with one or two kidneys and to transplanted patients without signs of ATI in the biopsies up to 6 months after transplantation (P < 0.001). Here, LCN2 is linked to acute kidney injury.
