As a predictive marker in previous studies, overexpression of BRCA1 was significantly correlated with higher RR and progression-free survival (PFS) but not with mOS in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treated with docetaxel-gemcitabine as first-line chemotherapy [36]; BRCA1 mutation appeared to be related with high pathologic complete response in breast cancer treated with platinum-based neoadjuvant therapy [23], [24]. Here, BRCA1 is linked to breast cancer.
