The combination of DKK3 and ITIH5 methylation revealed a sensitivity of 39.9% (55 of 138) for the detection of breast cancer and a specificity of 93.3% (126 of 135) and of 97.4% (38 of 39) in healthy controls and benign disease controls (P < 0.0001), respectively. Here, DKK3 is linked to breast carcinoma.
