COX5B and infection: Similarly, RNAi of COX5B significantly increased IFN-β promoter activity in cells with overexpression of either RIG-I(N), the N-terminal fragment of MDA5 (MDA5(N)), or MAVS (Figures 3E–3G), as well as with infection by vesicular stomatitis mutant virus (VSVΔM51), which carries a single amino acid deletion (methionine 51) in the matrix (M) protein [23]–[24] (Figure S4A in Text S1).
