RETN and colorectal cancer: In molecular-based studies, the resistin-related SNP C-420G genotype was associated with an increased risk of colorectal cancer (per allele odds ratio [OR] 1.18, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.99–1.40) [134], whereas the resistin-promoter SNP C–180G was not associated with elevated resistin levels in patients with colon cancer [135].
