TREM2-KO mice and their littermate controls displayed comparable lesion sizes at 7 d and 28 d after stroke (mm3 injured tissue vs. ipsilateral hemisphere in %; 7 d: WT 4.8% ±0.70, KO 5.1% ±0.35, 28 d: WT 3.6% ±0.39, KO 3.0% ±0.27, n = 9–14 each; Figure 5).
