ITGAM and allergic respiratory disease: Finally, further supporting that CD11b+ Ly6C− DCs indeed are responsible for the activation of naïve T cells in the lymph nodes, we observed that CD11b+Ly6C− DCs isolated from the BLNs of HDM-treated donor mice were able to induce TH2 cell differentiation (Figure 9a–b) and subsequent airway allergy (Figure 9c) when transferred i.p. to naïve recipient mice.
