The screens were done in metastatic breast cancer cells expressing vimentin at high levels and three novel vimentin regulators - WAS/WASL interacting protein family member 2 (WIPF2), methylenetetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase 2 (MTHFD2) and ephrin type-B receptor 4 (EPHB4) were identified. This evidence concerns the gene VIM and breast carcinoma.
