The occurrences of pulmonary complications, renal failure, and sepsis increased significantly in patients with preoperative albumin ≤ 3.5 g/dL over those with preoperative albumin >3.5 g/dL (n = 11 (57.9%) vs. 6 (15.8%), p = 0.002; n = 5 (26.3%) vs. 2 (5.3%), p = 0.035; n = 6 (31.6%) vs. 2 (5.3%), p = 0.013, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene ALB and Renal insufficiency.
