AGT and cardiac hypertrophy: AngII+Det rats had significant increase in LVPWTd and a slight but insignificant increase in IVSTd and Tei index when compared to AngII+Ex, suggesting that 2 weeks of detraining may not be sufficient to completely reverse the exercise-induced changes in cardiac hypertrophy and function but it may lead to complete reversal if continued for longer than 2 weeks.
