Cooperation of DDR1 and α2β1 was required in the regulation of cell scattering in pancreatic cancer cells [40] or the self-renewal of mouse embryonic stem cells [41], whereas in MDCK cells, DDR1 was shown to inhibit several α2β1-mediated cell functions including cell adhesion and migration [36].
