In years to come, the role of omalizumab or other anti-IgE antibody strategies in pediatric asthma, nonallergic asthma, food allergy, atopic dermatitis, chronic urticaria with autoantibodies to IgE or the high-affinity IgE receptor, allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, and chronic hyperplastic sinusitis and as an adjuvant to allergen immunotherapy will evolve.
