We showed that the expression of pro-inflammatory IL-1α was increased, raising the possibility that NF-κB also might be activated by IL-1α, followed by increase in CXCL2 and infiltration of CXCR2-expressing neutrophils, with colon cancer developing from tumor-associated angiogenesis and cell proliferation. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL2 and colonic neoplasm.
