In view of the crucial role of mTOR signaling in tumor growth and metastasis, and our observations on α2M*-induced prostate cancer cells growth, cell proliferation and upregulation of PI 3-kinase/Akt signaling [6], [7], [9], [10], [12], [16], [17], [18], we have evaluated the role of mTORC1 and mTORC2 signaling pathways in prostate cancer cells stimulated with α2M*. This evidence concerns the gene MTOR and prostate carcinoma.
