Molecular analyses have established that Caveolin-1 (Cav-1) abrogates PRL-induced gene expression by sequestering JAK2. The loss of both Cav-1 alleles results in precocious MG development during pregnancy and the concomitant precocious activation of STAT5. All of the above indicate that although little is known about the exact functions of these miRNAs, the relationships with their respective target genes indicate potential roles in lactation. Here, JAK2 is linked to myasthenia gravis.
