The use of recombinant NS3 protein as a diagnostic method for identifying primary and secondary infections provided very good results, obtaining a good concordance between the tests for both IgM and IgG (Panbio IgM/IgG test versus rNS3 ELISA), and when we perform the study of the predictive ability of a diagnostic test, it was observed a good specificity and sensitivity with ELISA rNS3. This evidence concerns the gene CD40LG and infection.
