There are many reports providing the evidences that PP2A dephosphorylates the inhibitory phosphate at Ser259 of Raf-1, and thus PP2A activates Raf-1 and then activates ERK-dependent signaling pathway [28], [29], [30], [31], [32] and knocking down of PKD2 resulted in the decrease of the ERK activation in LNCaP prostate cancer cells [27]. This evidence concerns the gene PKD2 and prostate cancer.
