Results showed decreased expression of α-SMA, TGF-β1, TGF-β RII, fibronectin and procollagen Type I, and reduced ECM production after AM-251 treatment in HSCs, indicating the antifibrotic effect of AM251 on hepatic fibrosis in vitro, which was agreed with the previous study reported by Yang YY et al [36], in which AM-251 treatment could inhibit hepatic TGF-β1 expression and reduce hepatic collagen deposition in cirrhotic livers induced by common bile-duct ligation. This evidence concerns the gene FN1 and Hepatic fibrosis.
