As shown in Figure 1, serum levels of GITRL were significantly higher in SLE patients than in healthy subjects (401.3 ± 79.96 ng/mL versus 36.59 ± 8.50 ng/mL; P < 0.0001), indicating that GITRL overexpression is probably involved in the pathogenesis of SLE.
