ITIH4 and HIV infectious disease: Several antibodies with neutralizing activity attributable to CD4BDcore recognition were bound by E-gp120 at levels somewhat superior to non-electrophilic gp120, indicating that the CD4BDcore epitope is accessible on the E-gp120 surface (the innately produced single chain Fv JL427, polyclonal IgA from survivors of prolonged HIV infection) (Nishiyama et al., 2009; Planque et al., 2010, 2012b).
