TRIB3 (a mammalian tribbles homolog, also known as TRIB3/NIPK, gene ID 57761), has been reported by most studies [5,6], although not all studies [7], implicated in the regulation of insulin signal transduction by binding to and inhibiting Akt phosphorylation and to play a role in insulin resistance [5,6]. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and Insulin resistance.
