In the present study, we investigated the effects of Sal B on DMN-induced liver fibrosis in rats in vivo and on Ang II stimulated HSC activation in vitro. Firstly, with perindopril as control, which is one of ACEI and can inhibit Ang-II production, our results showed that Sal B and perindopril could attenuate DMN-induced rat liver fibrosis and down-regulate AT1R expression and ERK phosphorylation in rat liver. Here, MAPK1 is linked to Hepatic fibrosis.
