The present study suggests that co-differentially-expressed miR-target pair, miR-499::Gadd45α, might be involved in the tissue-tissue communication between DCM and DM-induced baroreflex dysfunction by an innovative incorporation of bioinformatics, miRNAs microarray analysis and biological experiments, and therefore provides a potential preventive strategy for SCD in DM. The gene discussed is GADD45A; the disease is familial dilated cardiomyopathy.
