CXCL8 and in situ carcinoma: After unblinding, RRMS patients were found to have a significantly higher concentration of CSF IL-12p40 (Mean 9.14 pg/ml; p<0.0001 compared to NIND, p = 0.004 compared to CIS), CXCL13 (Mean 54.72 pg/ml; p = 0.0215 compared to NIND, p = 0.0357 compared to CIS) and IL-8 (Mean 49.05 pg/ml; p<0.0001 compared to NIND, p = 0.0241 compared to CIS) than patients in the CIS (Means for IL-12p40: 2.29 pg/ml, CXCL13: 25.92 pg/ml and IL-8: 28.17 pg/ml) or NIND group (Means for IL-12p40: 2.10 pg/ml, CXCL13: 38.51 pg/ml and IL-8: 24.52 pg/ml).
