MPO and neoplasm: The achieved results of experiment demonstrated that polyphenolic fraction of dried fruit of C. pinnatifida inhibits TPA (12-0-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate) induced tumour transformation by blocking the AP-1 and NF- B signals, protein expression of COX-2/iNOS, generation of H2O2, activation of MPO and tumour promotion by decreasing inflammation and oxidative stress [9].
