RARA and acute myeloid leukemia: The use of a demethylase inhibitor (that is in clinical use and which restores ATRA responsiveness), plus an RARα agonist (for differentiation) and an RARγ antagonist (to inhibit growth) or the inhibitor plus either single retinoid, is interesting considerations to enhance the efficacy of differentiation therapy for ATRA-unresponsive AML.
